Woolworths Announces New “Everyday Money” Credit Card
Good news for our friends across the Atlantic: Woolworths has announced the launch of their new credit card, the Woolworths Everyday Money credit card. Woolworths CEO Michael Luscombe is excited about the launch, calling it a logical entry point into the financial services sector. Says Luscombe: “Our wide-reaching customer base is the ideal target market for the credit card as we already transact with them every day. We are in the business of providing customers with the essential goods and services they need for their everyday lives. Our financial services offering will be an extension of that proposition.”
Woolworths partnered with HSBC and Mastercard to produce the new offering. Shoppers will enjoy the rewards that come from using the Woolworths Everyday Money credit card. Purchases will add up and allow customers to earn shopping gift cards that can be used like cash at any Woolworths store. Woolworths has over 817 locations throughout the UK.

The Australian Woolworths (different company) is launching the credit card in Australia, not the UK one.

The article means Woolworths Ltd (Australia), they are the ones releasing the Everyday Money credit card, not Woolworths UK.

No guys! The Woolworths this article refers to is the Woolworths supermarket chain in Australia, not in the UK. Michael Luscombe is the CEO of the Australian (unrelated) chain and the card is being released there. Woolworths is the biggest retailer in Australia.

It would be handy if you did your research properly. The card has been launched by Woolworths Limited in Australia, which has no connection with Woolworths in the UK.

You have represented this content as relating to the UK. It is actually referring to Woolworth’s in Australia.

Lol, you’ve got this story all mixed up. It is the Woolworths company in *Australia* that is launching this card. Woolworths in Australia is totally unrelated to the Woolworths in the UK – they have totally different history and are two very distant companies.

Just to put the record straight, this is not about Woolworths in the UK. This is Woolworths the largest retailer in Australia with supermarkets, co-branded petrol stations and electronic outlets in their group.

Cheers.
